blue pixels).
After adjusting red and blue pixels for one channel, click other channels and repeat adjustment
process. Click Single
to produce final, adjusted image.
Click Palette, then select No Palette to return to normal,
artificially colored
display.
Scan averaging (see 16e) reduces numbers of red and blue pixels
(when Range Indicator is selected), so if you use scan averaging, turn it on

h. To save an image, first click Save As button.
Be aware that if you click Find, Fast XY, Single, or Cont. in Scan Control window while an
unsaved Image window is open, the unsaved image will be overwritten and lost! So either save
images right after acquiring them or click New button to open an empty Image window before
clicking Find, Fast XY, Single, or Cont..
Images are saved as .lsm files associated with a database file (.mdb). The .mdb is like a folder that
contains both the image and its acquisition parameters. You can put as many images in a single .mdb
as you want and create and organize .mdbs any way you want as long as all of your .mdbs go into
your personal folder (for students, your folder will be located within your advisor’s folder).
