c. Select a configuration from the drop-down list appropriate to the fluor(s) you are imaging, then click

Apply.

d. Go to step 13.

12. Configuration Control: Multi Track Option.

a. In general, if imaging:

two fluors with substantially overlapping emission spectra

three fluors

leave Channel Mode selected and click Multi Track.

b. Click Config button.

c. Select a configuration from the drop-down list appropriate to the

fluors you are imaging, then click Apply.

 Configuration options listed in Multi Track differ from those in

Single Track.

13. Scan Control.

a. With Mode selected, change Frame Size and Scan Speed from

their default values if you wish (e.g. I often start with 1024 x 1024

pixels and Scan Speed 7 and then make adjustments based on

preliminary image appearance).

b. Default is for Zoom to be 1. If you wish to image the maximum

area possible with a given objective lens, reduce Zoom to 0.7.
